AVKO Social Networking

AVKO has joined up with
Facebook and Blogger
(Blogspot) to create more opportunities for AVKO members and
others interested in dyslexia, special education, language
arts, etc. to meet, discuss, and share.
Facebook
Facebook is one of
the most commonly used and frequently visited sites in the
world. Facebook is a free website to join that allows
you to stay in contact with your current, past, and new
friends.
AVKO now has a Facebook "group" you can join. This
forums is open to the public; anyone can join immediately.
The
AVKO Facebook group allows you to see other members, use
the discussion boards, view the AVKO videos online without
downloading them to your computer, view and share pictures,
post to the virtual "wall," and more. You do not need
an account to see the group, but you will need an account
(free) to join the group or participate in any online
activities in the group. Join today and invite your
friends!
Don
McCabe, the author of the
AVKO materials, is on

Blogger (Blogspot)
AVKO now has a
blog (weblog) that you can read online. A blog is
an online journal that others can read, depending on your
privacy settings. We will be
using this forum for the posting of events, to share new
additions to the websites, to cull your opinions, to test
out new ideas for articles, share web specials, and to allow
you to more actively contribute to AVKO's mission. You
do not need an account to read the blog, but you will need
one if you want to post comments. You can bookmark the
page, or you can choose to "subscribe" to the blog via
e-mail RSS
(Really Simple Syndication). You can use
Google
Reader, Firefox,
Gmail,
Yahoo!, or other services to manage
your RSS feeds.
