Great for
HomeSchool groups and school inservices or workshops
Watch Don McCabe as he
takes a 17-year-old dyslexic through his first lesson at the
AVKO Educational Research Foundation.
You will be able to
watch the young man's face as he discovers that Mr. McCabe
has "tricked him" into being able to read and spell
instantly the word malicious! This will
help you see just how spellbinding and interesting Don
McCabe can be in any of the workshops listed above.
And Now the Surprise!
The Low, Low cost of AVKO Inservices
-
Grants of up to
$500.00 available to Home School Organizations and adult
literacy organizations such as local chapters of the
International Dyslexia Association, the Learning
Disabilities Association, Literacy Volunteers of
America, Laubach Literacy, Michigan Literacy, Reading
Reform Foundation, the Right to Read Foundation, and any
independent local literacy group.
The AVKO
Challenge and Guarantee
Participants may watch a
demonstration in which a student (or students) of their
choice learn to spell a difficult word such as scattered,
psychology, or malicious. Your
choice! They will learn to spell whichever word
they select without once seeing the word, without studying
the word, and without writing it seven times. This is
guaranteed. If Don McCabe cannot get the students you
selected to do this, AVKO will refund the entire cost of the
inservice.

All donations are
greatly appreciated. If you would like to support our
mission which is to raise the level of literacy to the point
where the words, illiteracy, phonemic awareness, learning
disabilities, dysgraphia, family literacy, adult literacy,
and illegible handwriting will no longer have relevance,
please mail your tax-deductible check (in U.S. dollars) to
The AVKO Foundation, 3084 Willard Road, Suite W, Birch Run, MI
48415-9404. The AVKO Foundation is recognized by the
IRS as a 501(C)3 publicly supported organization working
with teachers, parents, tutors, and home schooling parents,
publishing materials developed by its research, and
providing free daily tutoring at its local reading clinic.
